Accommodation Facilities
Calvary College Grove offers a choice of private or twin share accommodation. Each room has an en-suite bathroom specifically designed for wheelchairs and any necessary supportive equipment. Most rooms have a view of the hospital's beautifully landscaped gardens. Every effort is made to provide the type of room you requested, however this is not always possible. Bed allocations are subject to the availability at the time of your admission, clinical assessment and funding arrangements. As the preferred accommodation becomes available staff will arrange a transfer if you still prefer to move. Patients funded for twin accommodation may wish to discuss out of pocket expenses required with the any member of administration or nursing staff if they would prefer to be transferred to a single room. Should you proceed written consent accepting financial responsibility is required by the hospital.

You can advise your relatives/friends that they may send you emails to reception via and staff will be deliver them each day.
What is the food like?
Calvary College Grove prides itself on providing appetising and nutritious meals. All meals are prepared on the premises using the freshest ingredients. The hospital is responsible for ensuring all food is prepared according to HACCP Standards. Therefore, we request pre-prepared food is not brought in for your consumption. Special diets for clinical, personal or religious reasons may be arranged in consultation with the Hospitality Services Manager and Dietitian.On your initial arrival you will be provided with an available meal from the daily menu and receive a menu to complete for the following day. You will then be provided with a menu each morning for the next day. Meal times are as follows: Breakfast 7.30am,Lunch 12.00pm and Dinner 5.00 pm.

General Therapy Session Requirements
To assist you to participate in your rehabilitation program each patient's room has a timetable on the pin board where individual therapy sessions, tests and any other appointments will be written into the timetable. This allows you to plan your day and be actively involved by ensuring you are ready for appointments and that you are able to offer you relatives/friends the best times to visit.
For the program to be successful it is important that you have rest periods between therapy sessions. f you feel you are unable to manage any timetabled sessions the hospital staff are available to discuss your rehabilitation program at any time during your stay.
Home Visit
During your rehabilitation stay if required, an occupational therapist may take you to your home (or other discharge destination). With your approval, family members are invited to be present during the home visit. The purpose of this visit is to assess your ability to manage in your home environment, make recommendations, and advise on any home modifications or additional services you may need.
Discharge Planning
Your progress towards your goals and discharge will be reviewed regularly at a team meeting. Your discharge date will be confirmed with you in consultation with the team.
Discharge
Time of discharge is by 10.00am. If this time is difficult for you due to extenuating circumstances please speak to the Nursing Staff prior to your planned discharge date. If you have arranged a later discharge time you may be asked to sit out of your room. Staff will assist to facilitate discharge arrangements with you during your admission.
Care after discharge
Ongoing services or treatment appointments will be arranged in consultation with you prior to your discharge as required
Discharge summary
A summary of your rehabilitation treatment and care will be sent to your general practitioner, referring doctor and any other services involved in your ongoing care. A copy of your ongoing treatment, appointments and medication will be given to you.
